I am so sorry, but those look like classic blight pics. Hugs to you, I know just how it feels (my spuds got it last year and the year before)

        Blight

Yes its blight, every green part of those plants needs to go into the refuse bin, not compost heap.

The fungus spores will spread with the rain to any tomato and potato plant in the vicinity, perhaps that's how you got it.

        I'm Sorry.

Yup, I spent 2 hours tonight binning mine; all in the brown bin and I've bunged all my clothes in for a hot wash; and had a hot bath. It's so depressing.

zazen, I'm drinking tea and eating chocolate.

We binned the most affected plants, checked over every leaf thoroughly and sprayed enough bordeaux mixture to cover the plants. Did the ones under glass as well.

            I almost cried.

I'm sorry, was in the same position, and I'm gutted, i was looking forward ot making sauces and stuff with them. 46 plants dead and gone.
On the plsu side I managed to salvage so far about 7 and a half pounds of green tomatoes that went into chutney, so at least there are some pressies form the garden this year...

                      Looks like blight to me.
Once the blight is into the fruit there is nothing you can do - it's ruined.
I had some gorgeos tomatoes go in the Council copost bin last year and said it would not happen again. I won't spray with Dithane so early growing is the only answer.
This year I've grown all my tomatoes early (not always easy) but I've harvested 95% of my crop - eating as we go along, freezing for frying and cooking tomatoes, making passata - and am still ahead of the blight.
Still a few tomatoes to go to beat the blight but even if I loose them 95% have been used.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

So sorry for everyone who have lost their crops to the dreaded blight.
My outdoor toms went the same last year and the one before that.
Well i no longer plant outdoor and so far so good but they are all in the greenhouse and doing well.

And when your back stops aching,

You will find yourself a partner,

On a less painful note, what does one do with 1.2kg of green cherry toms?

Sorry to hear about the blight, Bramble Killer - quite sure though that if you've got some green tomatoes that are OK you'll find plenty of recipes in the food section of the vine.

                            Good luck.

Really, really sorry to see those blight photos. Poor you

I've lost tomatoes to blight for the past three years...this year is still blight-free but I half expect to see it every time I go outside after work. I'm spraying with Bordeaux which may or may not be working...sometimes I suppose it is just luck but now I'm just hoping they'll hurry up and ripen so I can whip them off before the blight does arrive!
