Hi all. We were given a heated propogater for Christmas and was wondering what we could sow now? We have some onion seeds in which are just emerging. Any ideas?

Good idea Kimbo. I'll get some chilli seeds in but may wait a few weeks before sowing tomatoes. I have limited space to grow on and think the chilli's will benefit more than tomatoes from the longer growing time.
Xandra - I'm sure something will germinate! I have the same problem with patience - zero!Comment

I start chillies at Christmas duggie but always wait until March for toms. The chillies don't seem to mind the longer growing time in low light conditions but I find there is nothing to gain with toms. Have planted leeks and parsnips. Both of which are up anf thriving. They both take a long growing period and I had some excellant results when starting them of earlier last year. I won't be planting them out yet though as I feel it is still to cold. Care must be taken with their roots when transplanting. Hope this helps.Comment
