    Harvesting Parnsips

    I got a total of 3 parnsips (hehe) growing in my planter and they have started to flower.
    My hubby says wait until they have fully flowered, and I say don't.

    Who is correct?

    Will it taint their flavour now they are flowering, that's if they are even edible after he's lordship has them on 24hour guard to stop me from pulling them up?

    You need to eat them ASAP - if they flower you won't have anything worth eating as it turns into a woody inner stem.

        For the sake of a couple of parsnips, wouldn't it be worth saving the seed?
