  • Hanging basket liner

Hello, I've got a couple of hanging baskets and the pulp liners
Are these any good I can just see them falling apart?

P.s why do they say green fingered I came back from the garden and mine were black

Being a cheap skate I use old compost bags turned inside out, cut to fit then punch small holes in them so the water just seeps out. Free and holds the water better.

Yes I use old compost bags as well for my hanging baskets and it does the job.

I had read in the gardeners world magazine that the author suggested lining the basket with moist grass clippings. Can't remember what issue but it must have been about 6 months ago as I no longer subscribe to it anymore.

Me too, the black is nice against the brightness of flowers.

I put water-holding granules in the compost mix, or shredded washing-up sponges (Christine Walkden's trick, that)
