    hamburg parsley

    just a few questions
    has anyone had good results with these ?.Are they easy to grow?.Do they taste anything like parsnips with a hint of parsley and how big do they grow ?Thanks for any information .

    Foliage can be used as "ordinary"parsley,roots grow very similar way to long carrots.I use it mainly for flavouring stock and stews and then later for cooked veg salad.Root parsley is not as sweet as parsnip but has much more flavour.This year I'm going to dry some roots for winter use.

      I have some somewhere, was planning on planting with my salsify.

        I grew it several years ago and had nice long roots. Lovely stuff. I tried again last year - 6 month long drought and no root - lots of foliage though.
        Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
