  • GYO "Free" Potato Growers set

This is the offer in the April 2012 mag - £4.90 postage. Mine has just arrived. Thought I'd let you know what's in there as it was more than I expected to receive!!
A potato growing bag, 5 Charlotte tubers, 5 packets of seed (Carrot Healthmaster F1,
Tomato Black Cherry, Bush basil, Autumn Crown winter squash F1 and Gourmet salad mix).
The surprise was a pair of brown potato scrubbing gloves.

It is good value if you want the component parts - but not if you just want 5 seed potatoes!
I had last month's asparagus offer - also £4.90 - that came today as well. A huge planting bag. 3 asparagus roots & 3 packets of seeds - the same carrots and salad mix + Yellow Stuffer tomatoes,

I'm waiting for that too...ma wants the asparagus. She made eyes at me to order it, that and a cherry tree. Has been asking when it will come.

Funny you should say that HH. I ordered both at the same time, can't be more than a fortnight ago. Yesterday I had an email to say the spuds had been despatched and they would let me know when the asparagus would be sent out. This morning, they both arrived!! No further word!

Can't remember exactly when I placed the order, but ma wants her veggies. And she's keeping them at home in pops garden. And there is no pleading with her as "You already trees down there, P-, I want to keep it here."

Oh the mental images. A pair of hobbit legs with two red wellies bicycling the air...

Incidentally, if anyone wants the potato or asparagus offers go to Complete Index of Offers
and scroll down the alphabetical list of offers until you reach FREE. There are a number of different offers available. if you need a code its GYB11 for the spuds and GYB10 for the asparagus.

I got the strawberry offer through last week.
Same as above pay postage and receive 10 runners food and dvd.
And guess what, I sat their and watched the whole thing.
Not that much that I didn't really already know.

If anyone wants it pm me your address and its yours.
Just wish I could have a fruit cage like what is in the dvd

Had this last year minus the gloves though. Harvested the spuds in the last week of July and they feed a caravan of 4 adults and 3 kids for four nights of a week away.
