  • Growing for showing

Been bitten by the bug big time and want to plug into any grapes out there who can recommend particular varieties of veg for the showbench -I know some already and I know the big boys have their own little seed swap world but not quite in their league (yet)
    Carrots - Sweet Candle
    French Beans - The Prince
    Beetroot - Pablo, Red Ace
Pea - Canoe, Dorian (Mr Big)
Potatoes - will buy these from Tattieman.
Any other suggestions - don't want to grow parsnips.

A good starting point will be the RHS guide which will tell you the point system for each veg.

Why not parsnips? They are soooooooo easy. I can grow them 1mtr long without trying and that is in flinty clay.
