    Grow light pests!

    Hi All,

    I have a grow light garden and am interested in starting off some chillies etc but last year I got terrible green/ white fly. How do other grow light users avoid this- especially as I've got it in my bedroom!

    I've not noticed any problems as of yet but If it's in the bedroom I would sway for yellow sticky traps.

      I think last year was exceptional in that it was very warm and the pests didn't die off. I've not had problems with pests under the grow lights, but I am careful to inspect any leaves I bring into the house, and I have a "one way" policy in that any plant that goes outside does not come back in.

      I have had trouble with aphids on plants in the summer, and when I find them that plant goes outside.

      I realize this isn't much help if the problem occurs on chilies in February...

        Thanks to you both- I think I may have brought them in on the plant so it looks like I'll have to try the yellow sticky things!
