  • Green Compost

I have heard mention of "Green Compost" and am assuming this is a crop that you would grow, not to eat but to dig back into the bed to add nutrient. Is this the case and what would be suitable Autumn/Winter crops to consider.?

I think you mean green manure. If you search the forum for that you will find a number of useful posts. There are some local authorities who sell green waste compost which they produce from home garden waste collections and from municipal gardens.

If you are going to sow green manure you need to consider which one will benefit your particular soil. Beware some can be hard graft to dig in, but all will benefit the ground in some way or another.
