Does anyone know when i harvest these please? I am so pleased first time growing them & they dont sprawl everywhere like other squashes & each plants has 5 or 6 fruit on them. Has anyone stored them & for how long? ta

I'm growing Golden Nugget for the first time this year too. Mine's got three nice sized fruit on it.
Now, I've just read something that says they are ready to eat once the skin has gone dull, if its still shiney, then the flesh will be flavourless. It also says you can store the fruit for upto a month before using.Last edited by Pumpkin Becki; 08-08-2010, 07:23 PM. -
This is the first year I haven't grown them: it's a brilliant little pumpkin. I'm sure mine stored for longer than a month
