  • Garlic

I've just spent a very disheartening afternoon digging up my garlic crop. The whole lot was completely ruined - the ground was waterlogged and the bulbs were still very small and begining to turn to mush.

This is the second year my garlic harvest has been rubbish.

I've now decided to try and grow my garlic in a pot or container of some kind.

Does anyone have any hints or tips particularly - what sort of size container and what kind of growing medium would be best.

    The hopeful gardener.

Are you sure water was the problem? Have you looked at White onion rot, it comes back year after year. You could try some in a new patch of ground instead? Ive never grown in pots...others who do will probably be popping in soon.

I grew in a large tub that you can buy from any shop. I just created some holes in it. Stuck the garlic in the ground and really forgot all about them.
