What garlic is the best to grow that stores well

I've found all the garlic that I have grown have stored until I crop the next lot. If they start sprouting, I mince and store in vinegar.
Soft necked varieties are the type that is supposed to have the best keeping properties.

Elephant garlic gives the best crop for the space, I freeze mine after mincing rolled up in sausages, then just cut off what I needdon't be afraid to innovate and try new things
