I found some garlic plants from last year clumpted together. I dug them up & replanted them with more space. The tops have gone leggy... Will they come back?

I've split sprouting garlic bulbs that I've overlooked and replanted the cloves, but that has been in winter when the sprouts were maybe 2 or 3" high.
When did you replant yours?
Not sure what you mean by leggy - they grow like a tall grass anyway. Here's a pic of mine from the weekend (nearest camera):

Well the tops have fallen over been replanted about a week now dnt seem to strengthen maybe just me.
Would loo rolls help?Comment

They may be too late being transplanted; or maybe they are just 'bedding in'. I wouldn't bother with loo rolls - they'll find their own feet if they are going to - give 'em some more time before throwing in the towel in any event.Comment
