  • Garlic?

    hi

We planted our garlic in nov and it has been growing well above the soil, but the leaves have turned yellowy on the ends. I decided to dig down a little and see what was going on under the soil, but it has not made a bulb shape it is white ( looks more like the bottom of leeks!!) have i done anything wrong, or does it start grow into a bulb soon?

Sorry if this sounds silly but we are new to this!!!
New to this gardening lark... fingers slowly turning green!

They've got plenty of time yet threepeas. You won't be looking to harvest them until August time. I should give them a bit of a feed now(Growmore, or pelleted chicken manure spread around the plants but not touching them) and then again in May just to give them a helping hand.

I came on to ask exactly the same question as Threepeas...!

Also, the bottoms of mine arent very deep. Would I do any harm if I earted them up a bit or are the roots strong enough to hold them?

They will be fine. The roots will be several inches long.
