My garlic threw out scapes quite a while ago but haven't flowered. I thought I had bought the type which falls over when ready to harvest (can't remember if that's soft or hard neck) but now I'm wondering if the scapes mean they won't fill out any more and that I should harvest. They were planted in October so have been growing for ages. I did pull one partly out the ground but didn't think it looked very big yet. It was pink on the outside and looked like it had separated but just didn't look very big.
