  • Garlic query

Okay, so I am a bit of a lazy gardener. Last spring I planted some garlic cloves that had started to sprout (Lidl regular garlic). They didn't come to much and I left 3 plants in the bucket as I was so disgusted with it.

Anyway, while pottering about in the garden a couple of days ago when it wasn't chucking it down with rain (made a lovely change), I noticed that said garlic was showing shoots some 4inches or so tall - one from each clove so that there are 3 rings of shoots.

My question is - should I now uproot these and space them out a bit or should I leave them well alone?

Yes, I'd separate them and plant each clove. You may get some decent bulbs out of them and what have you got to lose?

LOL - my fingers?! Blooming cold here today! Thanks - will replant them when the weather warms up a wee bit (or at least when the hailstones melt)
