  • Fruit Trees

Hi All I've only planted this fruit tree before as but it's already got leaves on but they are turning brown, already produced a few flowers. Is this normal? Just worried that it's diseased.

    Any advice appreciated

Your pictures are not very clear. When did you buy it and when did you plant it?

Most likely it's not diseased, just confused. It put some leaves and flowers on in the mild autumn thinking it was spring. Now it's suffering because it's cold, poor thing.

I'd leave it alone now and let it die back for the winter. By April or early May I hope it will put some new growth on; by midsummer it could be back to normal.

But the pictures are a bit blurry so I'm just guessing.

Thanks Martin , was worried the other three fruit trees haven't done anything.

I don't think your tree is the only thing that is confused. This is lobelia planted against my north facing garage wall last summer. Photo taken this morning. Who said Yorkshire was cold!
