  • Frame for sugar snap peas

I've noticed that the more sugar snap peas plants have to hang onto the more they grow.

I've seen people get young plants started by making a kind of "fence" with twigs and then planting the pea plants next to them, but what do the plants hang onto after they are about a foot high?

Do you have any tips on how to construct a good frame for them?

I just used two pieces of 2 x 2 timber (4 foot high above ground) and stretched chicken wire between them. You can see it here ...

Probably could have made it higher.

Each other, which is OK if they're dwarves, but not if they're tall ones.

I grow mine up chicken wire, which is held up by canes every 3ft or so
