female pumpkin flowers

I'm assuming that they behave like courgettes where the female flower is only open for a fairly short time regardless of whether or not it has been pollinated.

True........they open for a very short period during the early morning and remain closed throughout the remainder of the day. Yet, this morning they didn't open at all (at least not at the same time they have been opening).

Oooo I don't know, you need a proper experienced grape to come along ! But I'm guessing with the bees at the job and you having a shot, there's a pretty good chance the deed is done.

If you're unsure just open the flower and polinate it yourself. You can't do any harm.

I have three pumpkin plants they have lots of flowers but I havent noticed any fruits developing yet. We have lots of bees cos there are hives just in the corner of the site.

Sorry I'm no expert with good advice - I just want to say that it sounds like the pumpkin flowers have got a right good seeing-to - I'm guessing you'll see fruit beginning soon.

I've got loads of male flowers on my one pumpkin plant with a few female flowers starting up now (I think they're female as I think they have potential fruits along with them).
