    So, what is everyone's absolute favourite family to grow?

    This will serve as a reminder for people as to what belongs in what family, but if you could only grow from 1 family, which one would it be?

    What circumstance would force you to only grow plants from one family?

    Surely not good for biodiversity.

          Since the only thing that seems to be doing well for me this year.... Has to be the tattie family!
          So, anyone got a recipie for taters, chillies and toms?

            Alliums..........wouldn't be a true geordie if I didn't grow leeks!!!!!!

                Peas and Beans seem to be racing away. For me it's got to be cauliflower. It's the one thing everyone in the family loves (very unusual that) and I seem to be quite good at growing them. Hope I don't regret saying that, I think it's called 'tempting fate'.

                  Has to be brassica .great diversity also fairly hard to grow and with the added pressure of just about every crawling sliding and flying bugs seeming to love them as much as me it's a battle of me v nature .love the extra achievement when I finally cut it and cook it ..

                    Leeks gotta be leeks. They taste great, the boys love 'em and did I mention they taste great? Oh and I would sneak in some mage tout, known by the family as Rodney plants

                        I suppose if I just had to choose one it would be PEAS! I love growing Beans, but they are over-productive for our needs (or I'm just lucky), and the Chef in this household needs re educating in the Bean department. But don't tell Him I said that, or he'll make me cook!
