  • Ever grown summer crookneck squash?

Has anyone grown these before? I've tasted them before and thought the taste was lovely.

I was going to treat them as courgettes but wondered how long do they normally take to fruit. I am planning on growing them in a polytunnel with additional plants outside when warm enough.

Yep, really like the taste. They prefer slightly warmer conditions than courgettes, and so seem to take slightly longer to fruit, but I bet they'll enjoy a polytunnel.

Yes, some from SBP above; they were fab and lasted until November once they were off the vine.

I had 3 plants last year but only one survived and produced lots of lovely squashes. Will be growing more this year .
