Have any of you made a really basic stupid error in the garden?

I planted my giant sunflowers on the other side of my garden this year, only problem is I cant see the flowers they are all facing my neighbour.

The picture is upright in my file, can anyone turn it?

That's soooooooo funny Bill I think it counts as this year's entry to the Big Failure!

They look like Peeping Toms but they're not 'cos they're Sunflowers

Yesterday, I shredded a lot of old Hollyhock stems and flowers (including seeds), this, together with other waste (including unripe figs) will be used as a mulch around the garden. (too much to throwaway/burn)
Didn't even think about it until after the event.
Next year is going to be exciting.

Bill, my neighbour has also done that with his Sun flowers (thanks neighbour), but his excuse is, he is over 90.

Feed the soil, not the plants.

It's not just you Bill. We enjoy our neighbours lupins , roses, trailing buddleia, clematis, weeping willow, and honeysuckle. The previous owner just saw a plant liked it and put it in her garden.

Thank you Scarlet for turning my picture round, maybe you could have a go at turning the actual flowers round for me?

This keeps happening to me! Wherever we plant the sunflowers they just stare over the fence/wall.

This year we've foxed them by planting them in the middle of the garden. But they're sulking and haven't flowered yet.

You can enter a single plant in TWO classes

Go on do it, you know you want to

I thought their heads turned to follow the sun. Are you having us on, Billy Boy?

Having visited this garden I can say with certainty that this is what to expect from sunflowers in that location, that part of the garden is in shade until mid/late afternoon

I found them to be pretty much just random, pointing in all different directions
