    does horseradish die off in winter?

    Cos if it does mine's dead!

    Got it in large pot, planted in spring.

    The leaves are virtually gone, brown and disappearing.

    Any thoughts? Have I killed it?

    No, chuck, you have nae killed it. Mine has all died down as well.

          One of the most voracious weeds around! Planted a small patch on my allotment 10 years ago and I can't get rid of it. It's survived double figure freezing temperatures and floods. ProbaBly would survive a small nuclear explosion! The irony is I don't really like horesradish!

              I dug some up this year and it was tasteless, no heat or anything. Fancy posting me a big lump George, all expenses met?

                PW: Pm me your address, I'm busy digging up Horseradish from our plot and I am sending some to Rhona in the next week or so...can pop some to you at the same time.

                Blimmin stuff...we're digging out about a foot deep of soil, putting lots of cardboard and newspaper down and covering back up and not using that bed for a year, just to try and get rid of it. If that fails, I am afraid we have to resort to heavier, more scientific methods - [chemicals].
