  • Does celery need netting?

I only grew celery once a few years ago and I don't remember if I netted it or not.

Does anyone know if it needs it?

Slugs were my main concern with celery but there are celery flies and I believe that even carrot fly can attack celery?

I don't net mine, but this year when they get big enough i am going to tie a piece of string around each one of them.
Spelling errors are my area of expertise. Apologies if my jumbled up mind/words cause offence.

I have never had to net mine, they don't seem to have any problems

Thanks for the replies everyone, no netting it is.

That carrot fly is into everything, they got my dill last year too.

Thanks for the reminder Uber, I will tie mine with string too.
