    Does anyone use these?

    Just wondering if I could use THESE to grow my courgettes and cucumbers in? They seem very large for the price.

    How many courgette or cucumber plants could I get in one would you say.

    Your link isn't quite right, but it's a 40l flexi tub trug.

    I use 20 litre Morrison buckets at c.12p each (6 or 8 pots for 99P)

      How do you know it's a flexi tub trug if the link doesn't work?

                  Bit minty for me. The builder's buckets in Wickes are only 99p, TS can get 6 or 8 Morrisons buckets for
                  99p and I get ASDA buckets for free. We are too thrifty to part with that amount of cash is all! I suppose if they last a while they'll repay you the outlay. I'd only put one plant in though. Up to you Rob!

                    I use them, I call them bendy buckets. But I don't use them for growing plants in. What's wrong with pots or troughs? As has been said before you can get flower buckets for next to nowt.

                      Rob I have to say I go with everyone else on this one, For that price you could get 8 Morrison buckets and the compost to fill them.

                      The buckets sold by Morrison's are no longer 20ltr they are considerably smaller but still perfectly good for cumbers. I use true 20ltr pots for my courgettes.

                          I'm too tight fisted to pay almost £6 for something and then have to poke holes in the bottom to stop plants drowning. I have got one of these though, it cost me 20p at the dump. I use it for weeding.

                          The 99p shop has got veg and potato growing bags, they look quite sturdy and would probably last a couple of years with care.

                              As I grow everything in containers, part of my collection includes varying sizes of these tubs. I wait two of my favourite shops have them, i.e. Home Bargains and B & M. I'm hoping of course that my other favourite shop Poundland, may also have them soon. I'm not tight or miserley, merely a gardner!
