Personally I wouldn't pay that sort of money for them and I prefer having the variety that you can get from a wide variety of seeds. Also, if you're already getting a reasonable crop then would you really get value for money even if you got a bit more fruit?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Novelty and waste of money - but then again I'm a tightwad.

Considering how many plants you could get from seed, the better performance per plant is outweighed by the significantly higher cost, when you could have many more plants from seed to make up the yield. IF gthat makes any sense at all.

I can see it being advantagous for those short of time though.

Wouldn't have thought that it was worth the bother.

I used to graft tomatos and the crop was better so if space is limited it might be an idea... it's not hard to do but you did need a specific rootstock.... I also put a tomat top on a potato rootstock to create a frankensteinian horror that went through plantfood like Audrey2....
