I used Dobbie's compost this year and at first thought it had good texture and was ok. Sadly to say, I have now changed my initial opinion and find it short of nutrients and my plants aren't impressed with it.
I got a small bag of Homebase compost which looked like wood shavings and was very light. Surprisingly the Chrysanths I planted in it are thriving.

Which just goes to prove that you can't judge a book by its cover!

to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
