Default Do I need to protect onions?

I planted onions and garlic a couple or three weeks ago and they've sprouted up already. As they've forcast there might be frost tonight do you think I should nip down the allotment and cover them up with fleece?

hi nicky as far as i know you have no worries with onions i have never covered my onions and they have always grown ok
