  • A Detangling job i never want to do again!

Ok, i am a bit embarrassed but relieved i got it all done.

As some of you may have read before, i have been quite ill..
Well Oh was watering the plants in the polytunnel for me but that was about it.....of which i am grateful to him for.

Anyway, My tomatoe plants Lets just say, they were all planted in their buckets (37 Of them) and that was it.

I have grown all these from seed, (as the rest of my veg) so have been nurturing them..
Not much i could have done while i was ill because i was basically bed bound.

Well you can guess what happened. The tomatoe plants grew and grew and grew....BUT with NO SUPPORT

So, i went out yesterday (and i think the day before...cant remember) and detangled them all and supported them.

It wasnt an easy job as they had all grown well....all over the top of each of other and got all tangled.

They are now standing tall with quite a bit of tomatoes on them and lots more flowers.

My Oh said before i started that it was a mess and they were ruined....

I knew with a bit of TLC they would be fine.

so, they are all happily growing tall and producing.

I am amazed that they have actually survived and grown so well.

BUT I NEVER want to do that again. I had to careful lift each bit being careful not to break anything.

Its a good job i have lots of patience

Mr Tomatoeking.......you would have been annoyed had you seen them before i fixed them (i was)

Job done and there will be a few ripened today to eat...lovely reward for my hard work.

Fancy popping over to do mine VM?
Seriously - I bet you feel better after that - creating order out of chaos. And the rewards will be visible!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Well done VM, it is really satisfying when you manage to sort things out like that, isn't it? Hope you get a good crop off them and that you're feeling a bit better now.

Your OH needs shooting for not doing it for you (my OH would have been the same )

Hope you are feeling much better now.

          Thanks guys.

Womble...theres no way my Oh would have been able to do it. Apart from the fact he hasnt got that much patience, he just wouldnt have known what to do and wouldnt have been gentle

Bless him though he does cut the grass (which is a huge job as our garden is like a field) and does the weeding on the 6 veg patches, so he has his uses

To be honest i am not feeling much better.
Been ill since Feb/march time and after taking anti biotics a few weeks ago, i had about a week of feeling better...now its back....whatever it is. My white cells have gone down a bit but are still high

I am worried that there is something bad wrong with me as i am never usually sick for too long....the odd cold/flu and sometimes a bug.....nothing like this

On the positive side though, i am eating good homegrown food, have 2 beautiful children that make me laugh everyday and a good Oh who has really been a star with me being ill. And my garden of course. I am doing all the right things, just gotta find out what the problem is.
          I am in good hands.

          Thank you for asking

Sorry you're still feeling rough but look forward to those lovely toms

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Well it sounds like to you did a good job, but I bet I have seen far worse, in fact I have had staff getting so far behind with trimming their 5000 plants a week, that the shoots were growing out of the roof vents!

                    Hope your feeling better.
