    Default Deformed Potato's

Just spent the weekend digging up whats left of my earlies and in one raised bed i found large amounts of deformed potato's (Rocket variety). I remember now that last year i grew potato's in this bed. Could this be the cause and what is the deformity.?

Looks like scab to me, no lime in bed preparation and, indeed good crop rotation and constant moisture helps.

Certainly looks like scab to me too, your soil is probably a bit alkaline. Some people recommend lining the planting holes with grass cuttings to help prevent scab
