  • Cucumbers indoor

I have 2 cucumber plants outside which are still small as I sown them late. But am wondering whether it is possible to replant them into largish pots and continue growing on the south facing window cill indoors?
Would I get anything or stupid idea? (I know I have to work as a bee in this case, unless its a hybrid that does not require them)

Any feedback is appreciated on this matter

You stand more change getting fruits by bringing your cucs indoors especially now with the nights are getting cooler.
    Location....East Midlands.

The thing to remember is that you wont get any fruits with them outside for sure, so you have nothing to lose. They will need quite large pots so you best have a big window cill. The benefit will be that they will be able to watch the gardening programs with you on the tv.

Definitely not a stupid idea! They need at least 6 hours of sun a day (8 is ideal), but you should have that covered since you have a south facing window. They'll also need regular fertilizing. Also consider using a trellis or other vertical structure so they can grow and expand well (see Growing Cucumbers Vertically to Maximize Space | for more info).

They are bush type, so no need for trellis.
how big the plant pot has to be? 3l, 5l, or bigger?

I'd go for the biggest you can get on the windowsill.
