  • Cucumber problem - identification help appreciated

    Hi there.

I've got some cucumber plants that have been growing very well.
But yesterday something appeared on the leaves of a couple of the plants.
They are indoors at night, but go outside when it gets above 10 degrees

They have been getting plenty of water, from the bottom

I just really wanted to know if it is environmental stress, or a disease ( meaning I should get rid of the affected plants asap)

    Thank you in advance

As Kristen hinted looks like scorch from the sun shining on water droplets on the leaves.

The leaves have gotten wet maybe once or twice.

Thanks for the identification thinking about it - the leave might have gotten wet outside, when I watered some of the plants around and the sun has been strong here.
I shall take more care in future, am just relieved I don't have to throw them all out.

Cucumbers take offence to all sorts of things, I'm afraid.

if I fail to buy F1 All Female Flower seed dirt cheap (their RRP is more than £1 a seed) I buy plants as I reckon on 50% failure rate at least through stem rot and just plain Bloody Mindedness of the plants.

Mine were a picture of health until a couple of days ago. Nothing has change, so clearly the only issue is that they have The Hump about something ...
