  • Cucumber help needed

Ive grown some femspot cucumbers. Planted 3 in a trough in the greenhouse. They've gone fine and the fruit is there, however some of the leaves have discoloured and turned brown and crumbly, yet the fruit seems ok.

Am I overwatering (every other day) or underwatering? Could the leaves be scortching?

Make sure the compost always feels damp, I think i'd be watering everyday when it's sunny.

Can you rig up a bit of shading or something like bubble wrap to keep the plants cooler and air around them more humid.

Look really carefully under the leaves as I suspect red spider mite. They are really tiny so you might need a magnifying glass. In some cases you might see webbing. I would remove the effected leaves and try to keep the air more humid. There are biological controls you could introduce. A photo would help.

I've been damping the greenhouse floor each morning and left the door slightly ajar. I'll get some bubblewrap & try to cover the inside where the cucumbers are located. Thanks for the advice,
