  • Crown Prince - How far apart?

My CP are on a mission to take over the GH so I need to think about getting them outside but not sure about spacing.

On Googling, planting distances seem to vary between 2-4ft, one even said 2 seeds at each station 2 feet apart. What works best for you?

I plan on letting them make their way towards the early spuds which will be lifted by the time they make it over (fingers crossed).

Yeah, but you pull out the weakest one when they germinate.

I plant mine about a yard apart and let them go where they want. They will rampage quite well especially if fed and watered well.

I haven't done this yet, so can't vouch for it, but Joy Larkholm trains her squash vines round in a spiral, pegging them in the ground with tent pegs. It looks really neat and doesn't take up much space. I'm trying it in my sweetcorn bed, and in the manure mulch around my (small) fruit bushes with butternut and Uchiki Kuri.

            Thanks everyone.

Can't go for the Three Sisters as my corn and squash are in different gardens. I'm going for the 3'/yard apart and let them romp towards the spuds.
