  • Covering Brassica Once Bigger?

Just a quick question, once my sprouts and kale are large, is it still advised to cover them up? I only ask because I have them under little poly tunnels now but they have out grown them and wondered if they would be okay to be removed just now? I am planning on eventually getting some wood to make larger nets but wondered if this was still needed?

Sorry if that's a stupid question!

While there are butterflies around you need to keep the nets on - and above the brassicas to stop them laying their eggs through the netting.

And when the butterflies go away, you'll still need to keep the pigeons off.
