  • Courgette Flowers.

My friend has asked for some courgette flowers, can't say I've ever fancied them myself so I've never tried them... sooooooooo, do I pick her the male or the female ones? Sorry.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

I would pass on any extra male flowers - remember to leave some for pollination though.
    Happy Gardening,

I think you're supposed to stuff them - so male

Unless you're being highly poncey and deep frying them with the baby courgette on, then I'd use the male ones. Otherwise, 'tis a waste of a potential courgette.

They are actually very nice, fried in a light batter.
My sons both love them, mainly because they taste a little bit like pancakes.

i have also seen them in batter but if your having a get together try freezing them in the middle of an ice cube always a sure way to get people talking

But wouldn't you need one hell of a size ice cube to fit a courgette flower in?

                Just a thought .....!
