    Companion Planting

    Is this a golden rule to abide by to get the best of your crops & reduce pests/diseases or unfounded?

    Does anyone use this method and if so, where can I get information as I would like to give it a go?

            I've found this site helpful, someone posted it on the Vine a couple of years ago. Companion Planting

              as for whether it works, or not, is for you to decide.

                I was given the Flowerdew book TS mentioned. Very good read but even he will admit that it is not always as successful as some would want us to believe. As in all things gardening there are so many variables that things don't always work out we hope. Using companion planting in a greenhouse is probably more successful than in the open. I do follow some of the guidelines for companion planting but don't rely on solely on them. I may well plant onions amongst my carrots but they still get covered!

                    Fred I tried Google but wanted gardeners advice on whether it's a tried, tested & success method.

                    Florence I did try the search on here but absolutely nothing came up hence me starting this thread

                        I have no doubt that Bob's book is v good but did you see how much they want for it on Amazon???
