They are tough, so it should be fine planted out.

Presume it is Bocking-14? which is sterile. I would not advise planting regular Comfrey (e.g. seed-grown) as it will propagate itself all over the place and be a blinking nuisance (it has done here, as I grew from seed before I knew about Bocking-14)

After advice from fellow grapes, I got 3 bare roots from an ebay trader, 3 weeks ago, planted the same day as they came and they are already growing leaves.

got some comfrey from our allotments dug a big rootball up is it as good as nettle tea or can both be used ? . i used nettle tea on the plot with good results

Nettle tea contains Nitrogen for leaves, Comfrey tea contains potash for flowers

I had one small plant in the front garden. Now there are 5. And I hacked off half of one for a new neighbour. Then there's the 3 outback....Loving how they spring up first in spring though. Such lovely green leaves.

Hi

I usually move comfrey to the side of my beds as I come across it. I have a lot of comfrey around my allotment and encourage all round to pick it when needed.

I use six pint milk cartons stuffed with comfrey leaves add water and build up a stock of prepared tea to use on the plants that need it. It also keeps the smell to one carton at a time as it stinks when using from a larger vessel as in blue barrel I used to have

Comfrey does make a great difference to the quality of toms and I have fed my courgettes this year and my crops have been amazing
