  • Chives & Corriander seeds...........

    Hi,

Planted a tray of each 2/3 weeks ago and they have all started to come through.
They are starting to flop over and are quiet thin, what do I do next replant into bigger pots etc.
They are indoors in a small plastic green house.

    Any thoughts are most welcome.

I also have Basil but they look good and starting to get bushy so will leave them alone.

    Regards
    Richard

Hi - you can pot the chives on to bigger pots but if they're flopping over they might be about to cark it. (?) Could be damping off if you've over watered them or it could just be they're a bit warm or need a deeper pot. The coriander won't appreciate being transplanted though and I've found it grows better in the ground. Last year grew some in a pot and it did carp. The stuff down t'lottment did great though

Sounds like they've been overwatered. Chives (like onions) are quite slow growing to start with. I would reduce the watering and leave them to it. I certainly wouldn't pot them into bigger pots until the roots have filled their current ones.
