  • Chit potatoes in a cold frame

Hi all. Can I chit rocket pots in my four tier plastic 'greenhouse', or will it be too cold? Or maybe near the window in my shed? I've not got much room inside....

You need to be sure they won't get frosted or they'll go mushey and nasty.

Ok - thanks all. Looks like I'll have to plant without chitting. Should I therefore give them an extra week or so in the ground to compensate?

Mine are on the bathroom windowsill, the bedroom windowsills, all standing in egg trays. I did put some in the back porch, but I had a little furry visitor who decided to nibble them so they are now indoors.
