  • Chilli plants

    Hi all

Does anyone know where I can buy chilli plants from?
My local garden centre doesn't have any and I can't find any anywhere else.

    Any help greatly appreciated!

Have you tried B&Q?? I bought some chilli plants from there last year but it was later on in the year! I think it was August time, when they were flowering and fruiting. I have not looked for any, as have been growing from seed since January so cant say anymore sorry! Good luck!!

Lidl had huge chilli plants on Sunday. They were about £4 ish but they were at least 12" high.

They also had bush tomatoes which were the size of a football with 1/2" toms already on them. About £4.50
Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you are probably right.

I am a newbie here so not got much experience but chilli's are as varied as the weather, what kind of chilli do you want.

Chilli`s have a scoville rating and a mellow jalapeno is a far cry from a lava inducing dorset naga.

I have seen loads of choice around the garden centers but only a small choice in heat ratios.Depends on what you wish to keep.

I have started to grow some scotch bonnets, still small though.

I got one in my local Focus last week for 99p. Try them if you have one local.

All my chilli seeds failed to germinate, which was disappointing as I was hoping to be able to grow one indoors... I think a trip to B&Q or Focus may be in order
