Chilli Plant is sick

What variety(s) are they? and what size pots are they in?

I have chillis and a pepper plant that are growing upwards too. No idea what to do about the leaves. Same happened to mine and I put it down to over watering

i am not sure what kind they are, i dried the seeds from a shop bought red chilli and to my surprise they all germinated. They are in seven inch pots, i think perhaps it could have been overwatering it, although if i don't water them everyday the leaves start to droop so not sure. I will just wait and see, i have two healthy plants.

I have one chilli or sweet pepper (not sure which) which has large, drooping leaves - it's also got curling on the top leaves. It's got plenty of flowers.

I ditched a plant a couple of months ago because of this curling, now I believe some peppers/chillies do this. Even watering every day doesn't change the floppy leaves.

What I'm saying is, is it possible this is the normal behaviour of this type of chlli? I hope so and that they (yours and mine) come good with fruits.

Btw if it helps at all, mine is either
Fresno (hot) or
Corno de Torro Rosso (sweet)

The labels have faded away - the third type I grew is Jalapeno, but they still have their labels, so I think it's one of the others.

I was given two plants last year, both of which produced very well. One of those had upright fruits of all colours, greens, yellows, purples, oranges and reds. I don't know what variety it was and it didn't survive the winter so now I will never know.

The other one is full of fruit but has shed leaves and flowers all the time, even when cut right down for the winter. If I cut back on the water the leaves curl up, so I just give it enough to damp the top of the compost which seems to do the trick. Not very scientific, but it works!

Well done on germinating them. They may not be the same variety as the bought chilli and in fact may be totally new varieties. Some chillies do carry the fruit facing upwards. The leaves may be drooping because of being too hot/sunny and will recover by themselves when it gets cooler.
