  • Chilli Identity Parade....

    Hi guys

    I was given this Chilli labelled AR Hot. I was grown from seed by one of my colleagues and he named it after the person who gave him the chilli, oh and the fact that it was hot! Does anyone know what it is? perfectly round an the plant has purple flowers! Cant wait till they are ready!!!

    It may be a new variety if they were home-saved seed, but hope this site is of some help growing chilli peppers thechileman.org

        Looks like a type of rocoto? Hairy leaves are indicative, check it out on the chileman database:

        rocoto chile pepper database
        To see a world in a grain of sand
        And a heaven in a wild flower

          Ask your pal how big they were. If the seeds were black then they would be rocottos, grow to 6ft plus, and about the size of a small sponge ball.

            Alberto Rotoco? I think I read on the real seeds site that it was called alberto locoto and also alberto rotoco, mind you, this was last year....my memory is a bit iffy
