Hi, i've got 6 cherry tomato plants growing really nicely, only on one plant there seems to be white spots at the bottom of the main stalk, from the bottom to about 2 inches up. They kind of look like a wart???

A pic would help, but if I guess correctly it is nothing to worry about, I think they are root nubs i.e. if that part of the stem was underground it would throw out roots.

It's trying to root. If you have room in the pots (assuming they are in pots) you could cover them with more compost, but in any case, they are normal. Don't panic!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

They're in a jamie oliver grow bag, reasonably deep but yeah originally part of it maybe was under compost in it's original pot.

yeah totally reassured, and on checking them tonight it's the first of all 6 plants to produce a flower.
