does anyone know where my celtuce stems are? I can only see leaves - are the stems under the ground? I think its the stems that you eat? has anyone else tried it?

I grew it last year and was well impressed. I've got a few seedlings (only three germinated from second year seed) which will be going out when they get a bit bigger.

Very crunchy and a distinctive taste (not bitter at all) make it worthwhile methinks!

My celtuce seeds have come up and need potting on!

I got seeds from the seed swap we went to.
