I noticed some thin patches on the leaves of my broccoli this morning and when I turned the leaves over there were loads of tiny caterpillars (large white butterfly). Although there have been a few butterflies around earlier in the year they don't appear to have laid any eggs, but this clearly signals the start of the onslaught. Be prepared and cover any unprotected brassica with veggiemesh!
