  • Carolina reaper chilli

Anyone ever grown this? Supposed to be the hottest chilli in the world so bought some seeds a few months ago to try out. Finally 1 germinated yesterday after about 2 months in a heated propagator

A word of advice when you harvest them use yellow washing up gloves. these peppers will eat through the standard vinyl medical gloves. You might also want to wear eye protection and where mask over mouth nose to. When you cut the peppers for use do it outside; they pack real strong aroma.

Im growing these at the moment, I used a heated propergator set at 30 degrees and they germinated in 7-10 days. I put some in seed compost and I tried some on damp kitchen paper roll and put them in a sandwich bag. They germinated well in the sandwich bag in the heated propergator.

So to grow these killer chilli's you need -

                      the plants
                      ABC suit - military quality
250 yard exclusion zone around your prep area
a urine catheter or a very close friend

                      Nope don't feel the need!
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison

SusieG they are available on the D T Brown website, here is the link:

The Worlds Hottest Chilli Plant Collection from DT Brown Seeds

£15 for one of each plant the collection contains 4 plants. They are by far the best company for supplying plug plants and potted plants as they are huge plants compared to the ones supplied by others I've used. If you decide to buy them we can compare notes.
