    Can't help but feel proud!

    Today was one of the rare occasions when I had a whole day down the allotment. I've had this plot for two and a half years but this year is the first I've really had the free time and foresight to do it properly. Went down early this morning and this is the sight that greeted me....
    It's such a pleasure to be out there and it's been a great year. Apart from the carrots. Lots of learning still to do and improvements to be made but I just wanted to share it with some like-minded people! Isn't it great when the hard labour pays off?

      It's wonderful. I know just how you feel :-)

      I stood in my veg garden today and had a wonderful sense of peace today. It was a lawn three years ago. Today I cooked dinner with ingredients from my garden.

        That looks amazing, well done you. I got my allotment in May and am still busy trying to get the whole plot going. Even so, it is already a pleasure going down there and seeing the few beds I have in use flourish and produce some veg for me!

                I love the garden too. Feels great working in it. Looks lovely to sit back and relax in it. And feels good when you prepare food from it, and again when you eat it. Can't get much better than that
                Except when you get to put up Brag Shots so other gardeners can get excited with you
