    can I save seed from my 'cherriettes of fire' toms?

    I've been so pleased with this plant - just picked up one from the garden centre after I lost my first crop of tomatoes back in the spring (my own fault, they were sprouting up and I went away for the weekend!)

    I have had pounds and pounds of delicious, sweet, tiny cherry tomatoes and wondered if anyone knew if I'd be able to grow them again next year from saved seed, or if they are an F1 variety?

    You can certainly save and sow your seed. Even if the originals were F1 you should still get plants with similar characteristics. Good luck.

      Just watched Beechgrove and they showed you how to save all sorts of seeds, including tomatoes.

        oho (I seem to be stalking you today Shady/Rustylady...) so you CAN save F1 seeds if you're not too obsessive about repeating the exact characteristics? Interesting...

          thanks, I know they'll grow, but they don't always turn out the same, I've found. Think I'll give it a go...

            Last year I had an excellent crop for seeds saved from a supermarket tomato - of course I've no idea of the variety but very pleased with the result.
