  • Can I move my garlic?

I shoved it in my small seed bed last November as I wanted to make changes to the garden this year.
I have now moved/changed everything and would like my seed bed back now, and they are planted much closer than I normally would.

I love my home grown garlic and wouldn't want to lose the whole lot, but have never needed to move it before.

Someone here, Zazen I think, did an experiment about moon planting and was digging up and re-planting garlic, if i remember right, it didn't suffer for it.

You can dig them up to move them, but i would take a large lump of soil with each one so you dont get any root disturbance.

Aye, I did and they were fine. I'd use a bulb planter to get them out and a bulb planter to get them back in where you want them.
